2025 was the first year of bringing Mutant Ideas into the real world and specifically to you, fine consumer of strange things. Next up we have a split release bridging two worlds...
Seventh Impact is the connective tissue between two projects from the same broken mind, Cosmic Monster and Narcissistic Mortification, featuring two versions of the same track. Music, artwork, and production is by Chris Marti with the Narcissistic Mortification logo created by Jackson Kovalchik.
The track premiered on Terror of Cosmic Monster in it's maximalist form. Layers upon layers of guitars, synthesizers, and orchestra swirl around frenzied blast beats and abrupt tempo and time shifts.
It's original form was a stripped down composition for Narcissistic Mortification's second album Destrudo Miasma (coming soon), arranged for a single down-tuned guitar filtered through various different effect pedal chains and amplifiers, wordless vocals, and programmed drums.
Next up will be another single from Destrudo Miasma titled MELT.
